My name is Amy L. Varner, and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in
the town of Melrose, Florida. I offer Mobile and In-Office Massage Therapy Services in Melrose, as well as the surrounding cities of: Hawthorne, Keystone Heights, Gainesville, Palatka, and Ocala.
Today, the benefits of massage are varied and far-reaching. Medical research has proven that massage therapy promotes muscular relaxation, greater circulation, improved lymphatic flow, and can be extremely valuable in reducing or even eliminating musculoskeletal pain. In addition to being an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, massage therapy has proven beneficial for chronic conditions including: low back pain, arthritus, fatique, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression and more. With ever-expanding reserarch of the beneficial effects of massage more medical professionals are advising patients to include therapeutic massage in thier healthcare treatment plans, as well, employers and health insurance plans are supporting the use of licensed massage therapist.

Massage may also be a vehicle for many other different levels of healing and awareness. In becoming educated and aware of where stress and tension are being held in our bodies, we can begin, within ourselves, the process of healing. I have personally found that massagge, when offered in a caring and mutually respectful environment, is a very nourishing practice that helps promote health, understanding and pesonal peace.
